Muscle Sprains
Muscular pains are extremely common soft tissue injuries , especially around the spine. Oftentimes, the supportive muscles or ligaments of the spine are under tremendous stress during movement. Eventually they can become injured and painful. Symptoms include severe localized pain which usually is cramping or achy in nature. It typically is associated with stiffness and is intensified with certain movements.
Typical causes of myofascial or muscle pain include heavy lifting, sudden impact or injury, repetitive motions, poor posture and weak abdominal muscles.
